Pietro Maximoff, also known as Quicksilver, is a character portrayed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

He first appeared in a mid-credits scene of the movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier before having a more significant role in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Pietro, along with his twin sister Wanda, volunteered for HYDRA's experiments. These experiments bestowed him with superhuman speed. This ability allowed him to move, think, and react at incredibly high velocities.

During the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Quicksilver initially allies himself with Ultron against the Avengers. Later, he switches sides and joins forces with the Avengers to defeat Ultron.

Pietro is ultimately killed in Sokovia, sacrificing himself to save Hawkeye and a young Sokovian boy from Ultron's sentry fire.
